Njord · pronounced “nyord”
Njord is the Norse god associated with the sea and wealth. We thought he might understand a shopkeeper’s priorities.
This project started inside an independent Canadian store. We needed our stock, sales, customers and website to work together—and wanted more control over the tools our business depended on.
So we started building Njord. We’re testing it in our own shop before asking other retailers to rely on it.
Gotta cover the nut.Rent. Payroll. Hydro.
Fair questions
That’s part of the migration work. Njord can preview and match imported Smile balances for review before committing them. A switch should start with a reconciliation of your actual customer balances.
It depends on the exact device and provider. Njord has separate hardware setup and compatibility-review flows. Network receipt printing is in store testing; each automatic payment integration needs its own verification. Standalone payments can still be recorded manually.
We’re working toward straightforward subscription pricing. Plans and commercial availability will be published after store testing; there’s no paid subscription to start on this page.
We’re currently testing in our own store and arranging early conversations with interested retailers. Ask for a walkthrough and tell us about your shop, current system and hardware.
From one shop owner to another
Tell us what you sell, what you use today and what gets in the way. We can show you where Njord is now and talk about what a move would involve.
